Preferred Vendor Program

A Preferred Vendor is a company or person who has been investigated by the Policaro Automotive Family and approved. When the Policaro Automotive Family needs products and services, it turns to preferred vendors first, which means that being a preferred vendor can put a business in a powerful position. Since the program’s inception in 2012 companies wishing to become preferred vendors must apply to enter the Preferred Vendor Program.

There are several qualities the Policaro Automotive Family looks for in a preferred vendor. Reputation in the industry is certainly important, as are issues such as on time performance, reasonable costs, and high quality of products and services. Preferred vendors also need to be fully licensed, bonded, and insured, as applicable, with ample evidence of certification and experience in the area they specialize in. For example, when the Policaro Automotive Family is looking for plumbers to add to a preferred vendor list we will look for people and firms who have demonstrated and documented a high level of competence, professionalism and integrity in the plumbing field.

Business practices at a vendor are also important to the Policaro Automotive Family for example, in our ongoing efforts to promote sustainability; we will only use vendors with vetted environmental practices and a demonstrated commitment to environmental stewardship.
